Join us for the 2026 Architecture Summer Intensive opening reception in Arts Umbrella's 3rd Floor Atrium on Friday, August 14 from 3:30pm-5:30pm and help us celebrate this year’s incredibly talented cohort! 

This year’s theme – Re-Thinking Science World – challenged students to design a new version of Science World while taking into consideration the wide-ranging social, environmental and community issues specific to a high-profile public project. The 'front line' location of Science World and its significance as a local landmark made it fertile ground to discover the design implications of climate change, public education, social justice and community engagement as just some of the many issues students were encouraged to explore with this year’s theme.
