Join us for the 2026 Contemporary Art Practices opening reception at Arts Umbrella's Cassills I Henriques Exhibition Gallery on Friday, August 21 from 4:00pm-6:00pm and help us celebrate this year’s incredibly talented cohort! 

Contemporary Art Practices Summer Intensive is a three-week, full scholarship program for young artists ages 15-19. In partnership with the Contemporary Art Gallery, and led my facilitating artist Kit Liu, the program supports participants in developing an art practice that critically engages with the world around them and exposes them to new and creative approaches to artmaking. Working with professional Vancouver artists, curators, and educators, including visiting artists Greg Girard and Simranpreet Anand, students engaged in critiques and discussions about how to develop their ideas and work with new materials and methods.
